It’s not shocking that they would ask that tbh, especially when you’re still a trainee. Companies dislike “imperfections”.
Jype doesn’t know that moles on face are actually considered beautiful and makes a person look more attractive.
Edit: I don’t know what y’all think bout moles, either you think it’s attractive or it’s unattractive, what I wrote here was based on what studies say. I know it’s not k-beauty standards, and that’s my whole point. K-beauty considers certain attractive points unattractive.

Bruh most things companies force idols to do is literally absurd
I see a lot of people claiming it is the company’s fault. But in actuality it is a fans issue. Companies look at what the market (fans) wants and try to match that demand. It is a business after all. You should be hating on fans, rather than the company. The same reason why she doesn’t need to remove now is also not because the company suddenly became magnanimous but because the fans now don’t wish for her to do so.
Little quirks like that literally make someone more beautiful… South Korea is literally so obsessed with perfection like… get well soon!!
she’s literally part of the visual line and that already says a lot. mina’s moles (and moles in general) aren’t flaws and these people were once blind to not see it. they are called beauty marks for a reason
There’s a reason we call moles here are in America “beauty marks”. She is beautiful, and those beauty marks only add to her beauty.
For some reason, JYPE does have something against moles. Like for Yeji, the mole on her nose was covered by makeup the entire time until this year.
What!? That’s sacrilege. Glad she stood her ground…mina is perfection just the way she is.
I’m glad that she is confident in herself and didn’t remove them out of pressure.
Her beauty marks makes her so UNIQUE and even more BEAUTIFUL.
I’m sure it also gives confidence to others who looks up to her.
I have a few moles and I live in Korea and a lot of people don’t like them. I have had old ladies come up to me before and say things like “oh you would look so much prettier if you removed your moles.” It’s honestly quite sad so I love when I see idols have moles. I think it’s unique!

It’s really common for companies to request their trainees remove moles, get their teeth aligned, have eyelid surgery, lose extreme amounts of weight. It’s obnoxious but they want that “perfect/flawless” look.
That’s a pretty dumb thing to do because everyone loves them and the fact that they wanted to do that is the reason why some people want justice for all jyp artist
Phew, Im glad they didnt do it or forced her to do it. Her mole was the thing that stands out the most when you look at her visuals. They even make her visuals look more unique
Not surprised Korea’s beauty standard is unrealistic, can’t have natural spots unless it’s a fake drawn on mole 😭 very glad she has them
