WTF DOES “OG KPOP STAN” EVEN MEAN?!
Supposedly “original gangster”, can be seen as “old generation”, personally viewed as “old-school”.🤓
I became an avid Korean music aka Kpop listener/lover since 1998. Korean and rap music were my coping mechanisms from the bullying I experienced in middle school through high school and my love for the genre has stuck by me ever since.
Unfortunately, I took a huge break from Korean music around 2015 when I was officially diagnosed with lupus nephritis and seizures; I was receiving and battling years of chemotherapy and dialysis along with taking 32 pills a day, so I had no mental/emotional/spiritual room to keep myself updated with the genre. Luckily, I’m in remission now! Doesn’t mean that lupus and seizures are gone because I am still very capable of frequent flare-ups of I don’t take care of myself, but I make sure to do so enough to manage and live as “normally” as possible.
When I made this YouTube name, I was thinking from my graphic-design-major perspective of a brand that will not only describe what my content will be about but will also align with the times, and y’all know that “Kpop stans” have been a thang for awhile now so hence the cringe-worthy title, OG KPOP STAN. (My love for Eminem is also relevant.😂) ALSO! Just to be SUPER clear— me calling myself an “OG kpop stan” does NOT mean that anyone who’s listened to kpop after me is inferior or less-than. A kpop lifestyle is a kpop lifestyle regardless of time. Please don’t get that sh*t twisted.😛

Fun Fact: Cheer Up was actually one of biggest of Twices song EVER; Cheer Up is what got them on the market and got there first ever win with that song and from there it was and still is history 😌

Fun fact! Stray kid’s Bang Chan starred in Twice’s Like Ooh Aah. He is one of the zombies there! Hahahaha
Theory: They died on KK and they became ghosts on TT
Fun Fact: During the first scene of “Like Ooh-Aah” not the zombie part but after when nayeon shows up all of that was shot in one shot which is unbelievable

This is a theory about TT and knock knock that I read and kinda makes sense:
Knock knock sleepover happened first until JYP himself(JYP ent. chairman which made the mv funnier) knocks on their door and gets rejected. He leaves a magic book and twice gets and opens it. Then snow came, twice played outside and got locked out (See nayeon’s line in KK: The door closes at twelve). The twice that is actually performing in TT is from the book and the ones knocking at the end of TT is the real twice 🤣
Even though twice was already big when they debuted, cheer up was like their breaking point

Cheer Up is like What is Love? but different. Cheer Up are different genres of movies and What is Love? are famous movies about love I believe 😁😌

19:13 got a little emotional when you said “TWICE gives you life.” It sums up exactly how I’ve felt ever since discovering them during a zombie phase of my life. “Likey” and TWICE were the jolt I needed in my life. It’s been fun watching your journey in reverse order. You’ve been a ONCE, but now you earned your membership card. Please answer the door and accept your membership card from JYP, but DO NOT let him attend the sleep over.
Another fun fact: the part when Sana gets down from the bus and fall was not supposed to happen, but they found it funny, so they let it like this.
