コブクロ「卒業」新MUSIC VIDEOにTWICEのSANAが出演！！
SANA（TWICE）が日本のアーティストのミュージックビデオ作品に参加するのはデビューしてから初めての事。
2020年3月にリリースしたコブクロの「卒業」。
今年、「卒業」という楽曲を学生だけでなく、かつて「卒業生」だったすべての人々に聞いてもらうべく“大人が振り返る卒業”をテーマに「卒業」MVにSANA（TWICE）を迎え、新たに制作する事となった。
SANA（TWICE）自身、TWICEの活動のため大阪から韓国へと拠点を移し、活躍の日々を送っているが、そこには夢を叶えるために希望溢れた未来へと向かったストーリーがあり、大人になっても振り返ることのできる築き上げた思い出が、支えとなり、当時と繋ぐ架け橋となって今作「卒業」が新しい道へと進めるよう背中を後押ししてくれる、そんな作品だったからこそ出演へと至った。
コブクロ「卒業 (Special Version) [with SANA]」の前半シーンでは液晶ビジョンに「大阪の街」が映し出される。 思い出が溢れた街並みを背に歩いていくと、懐かしさからか優しい笑顔がSANA（TWICE）から溢れる。
SANA（TWICE）は「大阪の馴染みある場所を見ると、当時の思い出を振り返る事が出来る」と話すと、シーンは「韓国の街」へと移っていく、するとSANA（TWICE）からは幼さが消え、大人びた表情へと変わっていくように映る。
２つの背景をストーリーにし、液晶ビジョンには色鮮やかな桜が映し出され、SANA（TWICE）の周りを桜の花びらが舞い散る。
日本のアーティストのミュージックビデオ初参加となったSANA（TWICE）は「コブクロさんの世界観を感じる事が出来てすごく楽しかったです。」と話した。
クロスオーバーするそれぞれの背景には、「卒業」に込められた想いも詰まり今作のテーマでもある“大人が振り返る卒業”を表現した作品へ仕上がった。

This time I had to confirm again after hearing (about his presence on the MV) “Kobukuro-san?” he. Regardless of generation, they are an artist who brings color to part of the youth of many people, so it was a great honor that I got this request. For the first time since my debut, I had the chance to be in a Japanese artist’s music video and, unlike TWICE, to feel the world from Kobukuro-san’s perspective, it was so much fun. Apart from the songs of Kobukuro-san, “Flower Bud”, “Red Thread” and “Forever Together”, I also listened to different songs with my family and friends. Before filming the music video, the officials shot certain locations from Osaka that were familiar to me, seeing those places, looking back, helped me remember many more memories from those times. “Graduation” for me is not being able to meet the people you want to meet, even if you want to. Or not being able to spend time somewhere is a “Graduation”. So I think this is something that pushes us behind us to take a new path.

March 2020, a song called 「Graduation」 was released by Kobukuro.
This year, to not only have graduating students listen to the song and instead everyone who went through graduation, we chose the theme to be “reflecting on graduation as adults” and invited SANA (TWICE) to feature in a brand new MV.
SANA herself had moved from Osaka to South Korea for TWICE’s activities and has gained popularity, but behind it is the story of pursuing her dream, having memories that can be looked back, support her and connect to her current self. This song, 「Graduation」has the power to push her towards new paths, which was the reason she was decided to feature in this MV.
In the first half of this special MV, the screens display the city of Osaka. As she walks in front of the city full of memories, maybe from the nostalgia, we see SANA with a warm smile.
SANA says 「Looking at familiar places in Osaka allows me to reflect on past memories」
Then the scene moves onto Korean cities. Along with the scene change, she seems to be depicted with more maturity, as if to move on from the memories of her childhood.
With the 2 background stories, the screen shows a colorful cherry blossom and the flower petals fall around SANA.
SANA who was participating in a Japanese artist’s MV for the first time, said 「It was really enjoyable to feel the outlooks and messages of Kobukuro」
The two backgrounds each have their meaning of 「Graduation」and also expressed the theme for this project “reflecting on graduation as adults”

For people who do not understand Japanese, 「卒業」is translated as graduation. I am not Japanese, but after being exposed to Japanese culture, anime, etc., and actually living and and working here, I have a little bit of understanding of the emotional significance of “graduation”, specifically any major transition in one’s life. This isn’t just an academic graduation, but that of transitioning from living and growing in Japan to living and pursuing dreams in South Korea. Hence, here in this video, the first parts shows video’s and images from Sana’s hometown in Osaka, then transitioning to her current life in South Korea.
Kobukuro-san also released a short video of Sana interview behind the scenes of making this video. There, Sana stated reminiscing memories of her hometown.

this video makes me feel homesick. because of quarantine, i am stuck at home with my family almost 24/7. my relationship is not good with my mom and i seem to be in a slump. i have no interests and no hobbies. i’m so afraid of growing up. this makes me feel homesick for the past. i remember when i was in elementary school and i would sometimes cry because i missed my mom. we were so close then. i miss my old friends even thought i think they don’t miss me. i wish that life was easy like it was when i thought the whole world was happy and bright. everything is happening too fast, why can’t time just stop, even for a second, so i can just breathe and cry without having to worry about the future, think about the past. i want so bad to go back to those times, so this time i will not take them for granted. we never know we are making memories, we are simply just living. and that’s why i’m so afraid, because in the future, i will look back to these times and say “i wish i could relive those days”. things will only get harder, and i’m not ready for it. why do we have to throw our tween and teenage lives away, preparing to trow them away all over again when we are adults? i cannot even imagine that life. since stuck between missing the past and dreading the future, the present is slipping through my fingers. even though i know why i am in a slump, the answer is not always the solution. this video made me cry, the lyrics and the sadness in sana’s eyes. hopefully someday i will be able to live in the present
