This is why one can’t just judge Twice based on their titles tracks. Yes, those tracks slap, but you only get a good look at the real Twice through their B-sides in my opinion.
This video along with the How Twice Revitalized Girl Pop, are so necessary to the kpop community. Musically speaking Twice is one of the best in the girl group game, alongside Destiny Childs, Little mix and Red Velvet. And the fact that the members have such a significant participation on the making is really something to be amazed of. People don’t give Twice the credit they deserve.

I really can’t wait to see what else these talented women give us. Twice as songwriters has not disappointed and I enjoyed your in depth analysis of their writing styles. It truly helps me appreciate other members whose style I don’t usually gravitate towards.
Some people forget that Twice has been writing lyrics for years now and it’s incredible that not only their music sound evolved but also their writing with it. If I remember correctly I read that Korean fans said that Up No More’s lyrics are very very good. If you’re not involved in producing music it can be difficult to write lyrics but they made it work so far and if they get the opportunity to co-produce (which I’m sure they will since some members have expressed interest in it) some songs I can imagine their writing will get even better.
Fun fact: Nayeon wrote “Make Me Go” out of pure boredom.

Nayeon said she wrote the song “Rainbow” with Chaeyoung in mind. I really admire that.

Twice is so misjudged even in the kpop community it’s ridiculous. They are a group of such smart and talented girls. If only people would dive a little deeper before giving their opinion on them.

I just realized that the Twice bsides I like most are mostly member written.
Such a great video. Twice is really evolving with their music not only from a sound perspective but also in their lyricism. I do hope in the future that they’re able to produce their own songs (but then I worry about JYP hearing it for a second then denying it like he did JB). All in all, great video
Honestly? This was such an interesting video to watch. I love the way you analyze every member write style in such a detailed way….the way you describe it is really pleasing to the ear (if that makes sense?) idk….like you mention things that I wouldn’t even notice or hear…..I just think that that so interesting.
I didn’t see this video yet, but I want to thank you. I think we need to talk more about the work of TWICE’s member in songwriting – and I know you will do it superbly. They are often overlooked, and I feel it is (at least partially) due to double standards. I have been following K-pop since more than 3 years now, but I just found out they wrote some of their songs!
Jihyo songs are definitely my favourite, I love 21:29 and up no more🍭
