k-pop songs that surprisingly have NO music show wins| #kpop #shorts #enhypen #bts #straykids #twice

TWICE!

@HOSHTASTIC

here are the reasons!
*talk that talk:* oversaturation (newjeans and ive were literally ruling the whole k-pop industry around the time the song was released. like, nwjns’ debut was a phenomenon while after like managed to become more successful than ever)
*god’s menu:* the song possibly felt non-gp friendly in south korea + skz had to compete with twice, iz*one, blackpink and mamamoo’s hwasa at that time
*cupid:* the song was promoted before it seriously blew up on social media and was one of the biggest k-pop songs of last year, especially in the us + fiftyfifty was still an unknown girl group at that time
*given-taken:* possibly poor digitals and the fact that the song was released too late as music shows began to stop airing on their respective channels one by one at that time because of the christmas season as well as preparing for the year-end shows & festivals
*asap:* possibly poor digitals + stayc’s competition was BIG (“rollin'”, “on the ground”, “one”, “lilac”, “bambi”, etc.)
*dope:* it was unfortunately a b-side used for the follow-up promotions after “i need u” and not a title track 🙁 and it’s a rare thing for a k-pop b-side to get a music show win though
*very nice:* seventeen had to compete mainly with gfriend on music shows since “navillera” was a sensation, but also wonder girls, taeyeon & highlight/beast

@TaylorLeeKnow

I’m not even an Enhypen fan but this song of them is so good. Still it’s one of my fav. And I don’t have any words for Twice, SKZ, Seventeen and Fifty fifty🤦🏻‍♀️ How could they ignore these songs?
