What’s Really Happening with TWICE!

Wow people criticise BlackPink’s rare comebacks and also Twice’s frequent comebacks.. I feel sorry for all the idols to see the never ending demands put upon them.

One thing about TWICE is they never fall in their whole career.

I don’t think it’s mainly because of the group but more because of JYP. The recent comebacks from most groups under JYP have not been doing as well as they did in 2022/2023 (Itzy, NMIXX, VCHA, I guess Stray Kids have been doing better). If you add all views together from this years comebacks from JYP, it’s only 111M. The industry is also changing and new groups are becoming more relevant. I also think it’s due to them having less (Korean) comebacks the recent years. We’ve only had Ready To Be, Between 1&2, With You-th 2022-2024. The world tour also probably made them less popular since we got almost no activity from the group for a year (I know we got Hare Hare)

I don’t think they’re falling. In fact, they’ve had a pretty stable fandom for 9 years which I think is a good sign. It’s common for artists/groups to have ups and downs. The whole music industry is always changing, new artists are popping. I think if JYP actually started managing his groups better all of them would do better. NMIXX got a lot of promotion for some of their comebacks while TWICE only got 2 teasers for the comeback. Before, each member would get their own teaser and more promotion.

Also I don’t think they fell after More & More. I Can’t Stop Me did really well and so did Alcohol-Free (even though it was somewhat controversial due to its new style). The Feels did better than More & More and I even heard it on my radio (as a European) which is the first Kpop song I’ve heard on my national radio (excluding Universe – BTS, Coldplay).

TL;DR: I don’t think TWICE is “falling”, just that they’ve “inactive” for some time and there’s a lot of other new groups debuting. No recent comeback from JYP have been doing as well as before 2023. (I’m not a hater of any groups mentioned, I love all of ‘em).

I’m not hating here, don’t read it if you don’t think you can handle it: I also think the reason to why groups like (G)I-DLE and LE SSERAFIM have done better their recent comeback is due to them being newer groups or using controversy as promotion. LE SSERAFIM is a new group and almost all new groups from the big 4 have had a good start and the church scandal probably helped them with the song. (G)I-DLEs Wife was criticised for low-budget and “cringe” song, which CUBE used as promotion which is a smart tactic. They used that promo to Super Lady which had somewhat controversial concept, I mean (G)I-DLEs recent comebacks have all been a little controversial. TWICE haven’t used these tactics which may be another reason to the comeback being less popular than their previous ones.

Downfall? What downfall??? There new comeback was a hit, there old songs are still trending to this DAY. Saying Twice is having a downfall is just wrong. I’m not even an Once and this made me mad

Ppl always look for someone to blame when things go wrong but in kpop it is hard for idol groups to keep longevity and success is not always guaranteed, that’s the nature of the industry. With a few exceptions, most idol groups will naturally come to their end after a relatively short amount of time

I think that there isn’t any group like Twice and it will never will

Kpop without twice is not something we want to imagine.

twice is so talented, and this *downfall* doesn’t really make sense to me.

Releasing this the day they get Billboard 200 No. 1 is crazy… HAHAHAHA
