GRADING EXPLANATION:
Here are my three categories for rating albums: ‘Good lyrics’ with 4 points because it’s imo one of the most important thing in an album (good lyrics don’t have to be poetic or deep, a light and sweet love song can be extremely well written and will have all the points for me), ‘Diversity’ with 3 points imo a good album has different things to suggest, not always different genres but definitely a bit of diversity in lyrics and vibes. Then ‘Coherence’ with also 3 points because if it’s great to have a diverse album if no songs make sense together then it’s a bit disappointing, it doesn’t need to have a story or having all the songs follow each other (for the loooore) but i like a good coherence!

my favorite Twice album ever!! my fave songs are definitely Up No More, (written by Jihyo about her insomnia) and Behind the Mask, such a very meaningful and sad song
Since you like J-pop, you may want to listen to Twice’s Japanese album, Perfect World. It is as good, if not better than their Korean albums.
If you like jpop and jazz-ish songs. You will definitely love Masterpiece, an album by misamo. Twice group-unit

you love jpop you say??? babes twice is SOO big in japan (they perforned dome tour last year and 2 shows in nissan stadium this year, sold out ofc), they directly healed korea’s political relationship w japan, caused a second hallyu wave and have a whole japanese discography! and japanese members debuted as a group last year, misamo (mina, sana, momo) with their album masterpiece which i love. and their bside behind the curtain is the jpoppiest song i’ve ever heard from any kpop artist

I agree with You about the fade out ending at Say Something, feels incomplite. But the full album is great. Up no more was Made from the heart❤ of Jihyo, she takes her real insomnia problem and write a song about how she feels….. Precious!!!
