There is a whole plot regarding Twice songs, Oohh ahh is about wanting to fall in love, cheer up and TT about the guy not trying hard enough for them and Signal about him not taking the hint
i just thought ooh aah as first love thingy like, u never feel it before, n someone make u feel it and like, can u make the first move? 🥺 like that idk tho
I seriously can’t understand how knetz finally realised what the lyrics meant years later. I remember inetz talking about the lyrics because some of the members were minors. I don’t get how knetz didn’t notice.
I just knew the meaning of songs like “like ooh ah” has 18+ lyrics! And literally the members prob don’t know cause I mean some people listening don’t even know about the songs meaning and just listen because it’s so catchy. Also for ice cream cake I’ve always heard that it is Lolita concept so.. yeah😅 but didn’t know it’s gonna be that obvious esp since the some twice members and Yeri are minors
Does no one understand the concept that one will be spending the vast majority of their time on this planet as adults not as children or kid?
Thus things will be catered for kids for specific moments, but the lyrics will often be silly in reality, but it will more often than not be understood as something innocent and unknowing to the child.
An adult will know exactly what’s going on, but so long as the child is not aware *and* when they become aware a discussion is had, it’s fine.
So long as the song isn’t something like Lisa of Blackpink’s Money, because tons of children listen to that and that’s *far* more vulgar for a child to listen to than something as simple as “Ice Cream”
In addition, you have to think what the lesson is being taken from the song. Do they desperately want money now and will do anything to get it (which pulls out moral questioning in a kid)or do they understand the ice cream song as it is and go on about their business?
That’s why you get your music and ensure it’s safe, while simultaneously remembering your child’s going to have to encounter “for kids” things with a more a mature tone on it, because they won’t be kids for more than a couple years.
This doesn’t mean give the 9 year old all the raunchy Lisa Money songs, that’s wildly inappropriate. But you give them more songs that hold double meaning in a mature manner that prefers to not lalter around the ever so cheap “need” of s*x
This world can not be catered to children for the simple reason mentioned, these people are adults longer than they are kids.
There will be overlaps but, again, so long as you don’t take Lisa’ song Money and throw it in there, a subtle song like “ice cream” by Red Velvet won’t do much harm.
Eventually a kids going to grow and understand where as Money is just straight up asking for trouble.
It’s simply about giving the child the mindset to look past what peer pressure is and want to like just about anything for a multitude of reasons not just because it’s “got a good beat”
Words matter and what you surround yourself with matters *alot* If you’re allowing your kid and your mind to be around vulgarity disguised “for kids” (which happens so much in and out of kpop, but probably more in kpop these days) it’s a problem.
You change your morals and values because you feel this fake persona the artist has should be yours and now you’re on the road to mimic all they do.
You need your kids to see beyond the words, you need them to think for themselves and you don’t want that message behind the lyrics to be s*x , d*u.gs and party all day every day.
A vast majority of these song have that basic underlining message, Ice Cream doesn’t, so it’s a more innocent song that can easily be spoken about with the parent so we can understand how the child’s doing in learning how to read between the lines and discover what’s “good” and “bad” in regards to influence
You can’t always designate what songs “good” or “bad” for a kid, but some certain artists aren’t at all for kids despite them selling children’s toys, apparelle, clothing etc
Im a once and reveluv but kpop fans made a huge fuss about newjeans cookie yet i don’t see them making a big deal about icc and like ooh ahh when they’re released
There is a difference between songs having an inherently sexual meaning and people with their dirty minds forming sexual innuendos out of the lyrics that aren’t necessarily the intended meaning haha
I’m pretty sure that the “like ooh ahh ooh ahh” part is like there heart having butterflies Edit: Omg thank you all so much for 1.9k likes I’ve literally never even gotten one like before tysm
They’re not 18+ lyrics. They work in both an innocent way and a dirty way. That’s why they’re clever. It’s open to the listener’s interpretation. If you think it’s innocent, you have an innocent mind. If you think it’s dirty, you have a dirty mind.
im seeing the same thing that happened with cookie by new jeans. the meaning in korean doesnt feel as bad bc they dont use the same expressions as english for adult lyrics so they thought it was a cute song about love. i watched korean reactions to cookie and majority of them thought the lyrics were really cute and fitted the members. i think this is mainly a difference between their perspective and english speakers’ one. i listened to both these songs when i was 14 abd i never really thought of it like that either, bc im from argentina and i do understand english but we dont use those euphemisms for sex often so i didnt give it much thought
like ohh ahh is not explicit at all, it’s a love song ig. it’s a girl waiting for her first love bc when you feel ur first love you feel different so they are waiting for someone to make them feel something. i can’t defend rv in this 💀
I think twice’s ooh ah is referring to boys making them feel butterflies by taking them out on dated and making a move instead of slacking, however i get why ppl may think of it differently.
To be honest I am quite surprised at TWICE’s songs. However, most of RED VELVET’s songs are known to have very dark meanings. 😳
Knetz: the lyrics are too explicit and spicy
Also Knetz: *havent noticed it before
🤡
Let’s not blame Twice and Red Velvet, blame JYP and SM for making +18 lyrics for their artists/groups😂🤣
I’m pretty sure that the “like ooh ahh ooh ahh” part is like there heart having butterflies
Those lyrics aren’t actually explicit but you can make a sexual innuendo with most songs
Wait until they found out some mvs and dance moves of first and second generation. Kpop was actually….way more 18+ in the past.
Tbh having legal age members singing an +18 song is better than minors singing an +18 song, cookie by newjeans is one of the example
Yet Cookie by Newjeans still exists
“Ice cream you scream gimme that gimme that ice cream”
– Han Jisung
Does anyone remember😂😂
There is a whole plot regarding Twice songs, Oohh ahh is about wanting to fall in love, cheer up and TT about the guy not trying hard enough for them and Signal about him not taking the hint
I bet Knetizens were blinded by Twice cute concept that they didn’t focused on lyrics 😂
New kpop stan might not know that but
“Like ooh aah” is actually meant to be elegant/elegantly in korean😂
So it’s not 18+
i just thought ooh aah as first love thingy like, u never feel it before, n someone make u feel it and like, can u make the first move? 🥺 like that idk tho

The fact that i kept singing icecream cake nonstop 😭
infront of my parents and family
calling those songs “old” makes me feel old 😭 they were on repeat when they came out
They still ate those song up‼️

I don’t think Like-Ooh-Ahh is inappropriate at all

Ooh Ahh isn’t necessarily sexual. It can be interpreted that way, but it was most likely intended to be innocent.
Ice Cream Cake though… that is overtly sexual.
A lot, if not all, RV songs are sexual in nature.
Kids thought oompa oompa is “dark” but it is 100% love making.
Diese mujeres took “‘Cause I’m too *spicy* for your heart” too literally 💀
Ooh ahh isn’t like that 😭

Wait til they finally realise what Cookie is about 💀💀 funny enough Ice Cream Cake was also directed by MHJ

Ooh-ahh is short for ooh-ahh-ha-gae which means elegant
do yall not remember the last line in ice cream cake
“gimme that, gimme that, ice cream, gimme that, gimme that, your lips”
