You can actually win that ‘supposed to lose’ boss fight and you get a slightly different cutscene for it.
I love when developers do that.

Jon, please do a full series of this. It’s difficult, but it makes you get good at the game. This was my first souls like game, and I absolutely loved beating it. I’m sure you can do it to. It would be fun to watch you improve over the course of a series of this game

you can *technically* win the intro-supposed-to-lose fight, but it has the same outcome with a slightly different cutscene
