GAME RECAP: Penguins vs. Bruins (04.01.23) | Rust Scores Twice

TWICE!

The Pittsburgh Penguins welcomed in the Boston Bruins to PPG Paints Arena for their first of two back-to-back games of the weekend. Boston was able to strike first in the opening period on the power-play but the Penguins answered right back as Bryan Rust buried home his 17th goal of the season to even things up, 1-1. The Bruins would score the lone goal in the second period, taking a 2-1 lead heading into the intermission. It was a battle in the third as the Penguins and Bruins went back-and-forth scoring a total of four goals. Bryan Rust netted home his second of the game and Jake Guentzel scored his 35th of the season but the Bruins would get the last tally, winning this one by a score of 4-3.

We started too slow to really give the Bruins a run for their money, but good for the latter of the 2nd and the 3rd for staying sharp even if we did lose in regulation. Props to Pastrnak for his hat trick, but good on Jarry for keeping us in the game for as long as he could against a high caliber team like this. Lets sweep the season series over our keystone rival tomorrow.

Pens played like garbage most of the game. Entire front office needs fired. That is the only way the Pens have a chance of being better next year is new management from the top down.
