I don’t believe in hating anyone online no matter what they’ve done. I’m sure this may have been an unintentional accident for Chaeyoung, but this was egregious, and she definitely knew better. World War II has had so many insane implications, and Japan was allies with Germany as an axis power. If the Korean people have such a problem with the rising sun flag, they have just as much of a problem with the swastika. If they don’t, they at least realize how powerfully negative the swastika is. I can’t make any excuses for Chaeyoung at this time. There is no “education“. She knew what it meant, and she decided to wear this shirt anyway. I’m very disappointed in her.
As a South Korean-born Korean from South Korea there is not even a 1% chance Chaeyoung didn’t know what swastika is. It it literally impossible. She would have to have been from the severe countryside of Korea where there are no books, media, or other people live for her entire life for her not to. SHE’S not even claiming that. She’s saying she didn’t notice it which honestly is even more unbelievable. She knew what she did wouldn’t matter because she did it in South Korea around other Koreans who only care about other Koreans. You really think these people care about offending you? Not endless you’re a Korean fan. Stuff like this will never stop happening until the Korean people as a whole change and considering we’re culturally still in the stone age, that’s gonna take a while

I thought this would be the internet mistaking a religious symbol for the Nazi swastika but no. She actually wore the Nazi’s version with a carbonized black person on the front.

it’s not only Chaeyoung’s fault. Actually everyone done wrong and we keep doing wrong. Yeah, She done wrong even if it’s intensionally or not and she already apologized multiple times, and she promise that it will not happen again, me as a Chaeyoung stan I do believe her to fix this issue by herself, she always acknowledge and accepts her mistakes and do better. I’ve been stanning them for almost 8 years (since pre-debut of Twice) And They have been truthful for themselves and to their fans since day 1. They always making up when ever done wrong. They will say if they are hurt, They are not afraid to face all their problems and hate that we keep giving to them.
What I’m saying, yes, Chaeyoung done wrong. We also people always do wrong, Chaeyoung apologized for what she did and also us we should apologize not just to her but to other people. For me, Chaeyoung doesn’t deserve this Hate, Everyone doesn’t deserve hate. We all deserve to educate and to understand. Chaeyoung deserve to educate and to understand.
I’m not defending Chaeyoung or other idols, I’m just saying we just need to educate ourselves not just to this kind of topic but also to educate ourselves to be a good person. Spread love not hate, spread education not misinformation. Defending is not wrong, stating thoughts or opinions are not wrong, we all have the rights to speak up and educate others but not spreading hate to others.

Chaeyoung is the most lovable members in Twice. She show it to the members and to the fans. She did mistakes, she will fix this issue, she will make herself to be a better person. We us people too, We must fix ourselves to be more educated but having a good manner and to be a better person too.

I blame her totally. She’s 23 years old. She’s an adult. She wore the shirt twice in two different occasions. Plus she wore the qanon shirt. I think she only feel sorry because she got caught. Her apology was lame. Basically she’s saying that she will be careful what she wears out in public. Put a private. She has no problem doing it. I’m assuming her application for the proud boys then go through yet

My name is Swastika-
That’s not a swastika sign that’s a niz symbol I know both are kind of similar but that’s doesn’t mean you will call nazi sign swastika and swastika nazi
Here some story: Swastika wasn’t invented by Hitler, in some religion (I think it’s in Hinduism but I’m not 100% sure) the swastika symbolises lightning bolts, representing the thunder god and the king of the gods or Zeus in the ancient Greek religion, Jupiter in the ancient Roman religion, and Thor in the ancient Germanic religion.During WWI it was a symbol of auspiciousness and good luck for most of the Western world. It became a ‘evil’ sign only after Hitler. She could wore it for all the reason that iìI said before. Like some building of the start of 19th have Swastika but that doesn’t mean they are Nazi.
But even if she were Nazist, we all talk about how we all should be free of saying our own idea and then when someone actually do (it’s not the case of Chaeyoung) they get hate. Now I don’t support Nazism, I don’t like it but that doesn’t mean nobody can like it. The reality that we like the possibility of saying our idea only when it’s our OWN PERSONAL idea and not when it’s different.
I personally don’t think it is fault of chaeyoung cause it can be lack of education when I was In school I was thought about nazi but not too deeply I don’t even know the man in photo neither the meaning of swastika so i dont blam chae Or the people who are blaming her
But now to think about it she all ready apologized for it several times now to balm her again again would be wrong
