It’s the manner of the defeat, his team selection, players playing out of position and clearly no idea what the plan is, like most of the season. They are unbelievably negative, hundreds of needless passes and no desire to go forward. Being a Chelsea striker is soul destroying, no crosses, no shots, no attacks.

When you put in a display like that away from home, regardless of opposition with the players barely managing to give 50%, the fans can say whatever they want. The players should be utterly ashamed

The available first team players could not have won either. So there was no point risking further injuries

Those young lads would have learned a lot more from that game than they would have if Chelsea had won 4-0. Great experience for them. Their confidence won’t be dented just because they got schooled by a bunch of experienced top class players. And if it was, they wouldn’t have the mental strength for a top level career anyway.

The same person who decided to pick Alex crook to host a football show should be under same pressure as Potter.

Potter will still get a job if he’s sacked from Chelsea because the clubs a basket case now with an owner who’s playing football manager with transfers. Either they get a top coach with a director of football to come in or a strong manager to take control, then they will repeat the same mistakes again and again….one things for sure, this sort of embarrassing mess wouldn’t have happened under roman. Say what u like but he never let ahit get this bad and made the rough and tough calla when needed no matter how it went down with fans or pundits

i feel he was worried about further injuries. He should have gone all out today and show us fans a bit of steel ,shame it didnt happen.

Wheres the callers Nath his interview ? He called it we could have pep or klopp as our manager and we’d still be in the same mess. Sacking potter isn’t going to do a thing when you’ve got a squad not good enough and simply don’t give a crap. Give him time and back him, let him build a squad because we sack potter now and the same rubbish will happen. For years those players have gotten away with murder and haven’t been good enough. And the board shouldn’t of sacked TT to begin with. Potter is the person I blame least in all this I don’t even care

Alex Crook is talking nonsense, part of the skill of management is how you use your squad. Managers may get it wrong sometimes but the principle is there. One other thing, his Man Utd helped irrevocably destroy the FA Cup and its importance in our football when they chose to tour for money one year rather than compete in it.

When you listen to pundits that never played the game it’s mad how they look at football, people that have played the game see it completely different

potter should have kept the midfield of zakaria and kovacic. changing zakaria for jorginho was a mistake. leaving chukuemeka out was a mistake. bringing in mount was a mistake. H e should have gone all in with the same team that played the last twenty minutes against city in the previous game,

Alex ‘Mr Reactional’ Crooks. It’s FA Cup against City he’s got loads of injuries he’s not gonna risk em in Cup. Can’t stand Crook and I ain’t a Chelsea fan

Years ago the F.A CUP was huge! And for me still is….growing up it was like a mini world cup and teams and managers took it real seriously, as it should be. So for me managers do take it with a pinch of salt of recent years but Potter didn’t have the time and patience of Chelsea fans to do what he did, there defo not winning the league so go all out for the cup games…..its a no brainer

It’s not on the young players at all. Bashir Humphries was just about our best player over the match, certainly our best defender. And as for Omari Hutchison, [who is not really one of our best BUT has one hell of a heart….] in just under half an hour showed more hunger, drive, passion, creativity and determination than Havertz, Pulisic and Ziyech COMBINED have all season. I’m not blaming the youngsters. And as for Mason Mount, yet another game playing the big ‘I AM’ instead of actually putting in a proper shift. He’s far too self-satisfied and needs a severe reality check. I want Potter to explain why Ziyech is allowed to be on the pitch when he’s clearly decided to take the day off as well! The rest of them today were just crap.

Newcastle are in the quarter final of the league cup if they win on Tuesday they in a semi final with most of the top clubs already out Newcastle have a great chance for a cup final if the games weren’t so close am sure teams would play their best 11

Chelsea got what they deserved .
Over the years they have won major trophies but there is never enough consistency with them .at the moment they are dire and don’t look a team that has a game plan .
This problem was there before Potter and it’s only a matter of time before he is handed his P45 .

Hiring a manager who’s never ever been in a UCL game before. Doesn’t know how to get a team into a competition like that UCL. We f**ked.

We should have beat Sheffield Wednesday. Even with that 11, I wouldn’t really criticise the manager for that defeat.

It’s so apparent that Potter doesn’t respect either the club or the supporters. Our last match against City Chukwuemeka and Zakaria were the shining lights but Potter kept them on the bench for no apparent reason which clearly shows poor judgment which has always been the case since Potter appointment.
Potter simply not good enough for for the Chelsea job.

Newcastle aren’t thinking about winning the league, they’re thinking about top four and champions league. Most of them would rather be immediately in the top four than a season in Europa and an FA Cup. Newcastle already have bigger fish to fry, I’m afraid to say. Their trophies are coming regardless.

The problem is at no point did Chelsea look like they were gonna get back into it or even get a goal. No pressing, no desire. Just dreadful. Thats not just players that is confidence and effort. This always happens at Chelsea when the team is at loggerheads with the manager. Potter will be gone before the end of the season.

You could see that the players weren’t up for it when they lining up. Ziyech face said it. Then when ziyech thought he was fouled he couldn’t hardly be bothered to complain
