Dahyun is credited as one of the writers. This song was written (as told by Chaeyoung during a Japanese interview for Talk that Talk promotions) during the time when they were uncertain about their future prior to renewing their contracts.
IIRC, I did read somewhere that none of the members were aware that all of them renewed until the news broke out.
First hearing this song under that context, I did think that this would’ve been a perfect closing song had the other possibility happened. It really emits the feelings of nostalgia with touches of sadness and yet happiness as well.
Honestly, Mina and Tzuyu’s voice is starting to get similar annd complimentary to each other as the years go by. Probably the reason they were partnered w/ Jeongyeon to support her powerful voice. Growth is REAL with TWICE.
The tricky ending was really Tzuyu, even the members complimented her during their live.
This is a top 10 all time song for me, between the fact that it’s Twice, beautifully written and performed, and that I lost my childhood best friend and my ex fiancée both in their mid 20s. It just hits differently. I reacted on my other channel and literally was in tears during it, this song is amazing. Not something I can just listen to anytime, anywhere, but one of my favorites *EVER*
fun fact : this song was supposed to be TWICE’s last song before disbanding. But in fact they extended the contract with JYPE
I initially think the last part was Mina but eventually as I listen more to the album it’s getting more like Tzuyu to me too. I also start noticing Tzuyu’s improvement in her vocals since Taste of Love (for me) and also all of them of course.

On the first listen to this song I thought, in the end, is Mina, but is Tzuyu According to the Members and they complement Tzuyu’s voice

Yeah it was tzuyu on the last line. I think jihyo said it that it was not supposed to be part of the song but they added it since tzuyu’s voice was so good.

If TWICE disbandment materialized, this song would have been iconic and made noise all over the world. But I am glad it didnt materialize. I noticed earlier when watching your vid that you forgot your intro, then you inserted it in between haha. Anyway thank you for reacting to the whole album, great content as always!
