During the college basketball game between Villanova and Temple, Temple fans stormed the court after they had believed the game was over. However, Villanova had committed a foul with 0.2 seconds remaining which meant Temple had to shoot free throws. The thousands of fans had to be cleared off the court before the game could conclude. Temple made the two free throws and defeated Villanova 68-64. The fans then stormed the court a second time to celebrate Temple’s first win over Villanova since 2012.

Something about the fans getting themselves off the court, waiting patiently at the edges for time to expire, and then bum-rushing the court again in (mostly) orderly fashion just makes me smile, for some reason.
Another funny part about this was that Villanova called a timeout after the last Temple free throw, which made this drag on even longer lmao

I was at a high school game where the stormed the court with 1 second left in a 35 point blowout and they made us play the final second. It context it was out first playoff win in 7 years and we were at home.
