🔹 Carlsen CRUSHED an Indian GM in 10 Moves | Tricky Gambit Against 1.e4 – https://youtu.be/pLuLg1Cplsw
In this video lesson, GM Igor Smirnov shares with you a shocking chess game played by the world chess champion Magnus Carlsen against Jorden Van Foreest at the Oslo Esports Cup.
The game was shocking for two reasons: 1) A surprising move by Carlsen in the opening stage where he almost went for a Scholar’s Mate 2) Carlsen blundering his rook.

At 6:51 i think the best move would have been the queen to f5 i am just a beginner but that qf5 seems good continuation move for white to me

Magnus shocked me when he became a fashion pusher – most undignified for a meteor of the board. Your beautiful cat demonstrates the power of the passive position. When we concentrate on attack, we will miss the weak points in our defense.
(@6:55) I probably would have tried 1 Qxf5+ … Black would lose the queen if he interposes due to the knight on c5, or lose the bishop (1 … Be6??, 2 Qxe6) if he interposes that instead, or the rook (again, knight on c5) if he interposes that, so it looks like 1 … Kb8 is best here. But then 2 Nxa6+ bxa6, 3 Bxa6+ and black’s king is fatally exposed.
No need to blame myself anymore. If Magnus blunders that badly, why not me?!
Thanks God It’s not only me making blunders 😄😄😄
All he had to do was guard the bishop with either of he room or the queen
6:52 queen to f5 check
Love the cat in the background lol
Magnus the Shocker Carlsen.
