The legendary scene that showed the way to many heroes, and still shines in the hearts of those whose path is coming to an end.
The reason they made regeneration was to replace hartnell’s role as the doctor due to his illness, the regeneration is currently William hartnell’s legacy and forever will be, maybe not just for the doctor but other time lords as well
I’d love to have a TARDIS control room like this again full time
Always really loved how it transitioned from the new footage to the original episode.
I think it’s good he got more dramatic lines like they’d planned, though his last ones in the original are so sad. “Keep warm…” sounding suddenly so much like an old man
I just wish they added Ben and Polly back in to make it complete. But so glad the William Hartnell actor came back for this episode. Made me cry. Seems as if Doctor Who peaked here.

It’s good how actors like David Bradley, Richard Hurndall, Geoffrey Bayldon and Stephen Noonan have all given their homages to William Hartnell.
The aspect ratio change was inspired. It’s my favorite regeneration scene after Peter regenerating into Jodie
I like how this both is in reference to the Doctor having to live his life out to see what happens and how he becomes Doctor #12 that he met, but it’s also visually like the show went from the modern era back to the 60s, literally Time Travelling (style wise)
William Hartnell was, is and forever will be the original incarnation of the Doctor, whether you like it or not

Twice upon a time Is one my favourite regeneration stories, Still gets me emotional even to this day.😢😢😢
He is the doctor the doctor of war who Himself is the greatest hero of all time
So we’re gonna get one regeneration per day until the centenary
I really hope a story about becoming the second Doctor comes out around the 60th.
I just re-watched this episode this night.
What a timing.
I always thought it was a shame they didn’t give us the chance to see the 1st regenerate with the modern effect
A good recreation but it was like….”yeah, we’ve seen it like that already, how about something new please?”
I sure hope the actual classic episode is found one day.
I reckon we’ll get each doctor’s regeneration scene uploaded each day all the way up to the 13th Doctor’s regeneration plus we got 13 days until the Power of the Doctor airs
