TLDR: TWICE is Love – TWICE is Life
TWICE have 180 original songs (Korean/Japanese/English) released through their 7 year career (they have renewed their contracts recently so we fans get more of them). 35+ different genres incorporated into their songs. The most diverse girl group (followed closely by Red Velvet) and one of the most diverse groups in K-Pop.. They don’t have a “Universe” or “Lore”. TWICE songs tell a story from debut till now mostly focusing on “Love” in all the aspects a person will encounter in his lifetime (teen love , mature love , toxic love , platonic love , one sided love etc etc). This M/V , some of the lyrics in “Talk that Talk” (and the whole “Queen of hearts” song which is in English with a pop-rock vibe) are for fans. So is the album name “Between 1&2” aka Between ONCE (fandom) and TWICE. They are naturally cute in appearance and bubbly in character so their “cuteness” isn’t cringe mainly because it’s not forced/acted. Early TWICE (2015-2018) is bubblegum music with teen themed love (All of them except Nayeon , who was 20 , were in their mid or late teens , 16-19) . 2019-present we get “mature” TWICE being more bold , straightforward and expressive. This mostly applies to their tittle tracks though. The magic of TWICE is in their B-sides (70% of which have been written by members for the ones that came out 2020 forward and a handful for their releases prior) . TWICE even in their cute phase always have a dark undertone “hidden” in their lyrics or their M/Vs. In the past 2 years TWICE have delivered 4 VERY strong albums (not that their previous releases lacked in variety or listening experience) “Eyes Wide Open” , “Taste of Love” , “Formula of Love” (considered by critics internationally one of the best K-Pop albums ever) and now “Between 1&2” . Don’t be fooled by their tittle tracks. Every single release contains at least 1-2 songs that people go “Ohhh, this should be the tittle track”. Over 13mil physical copies sold isn’t by accident , nor Hype and it’s definitely not because they are just “cute”.. They are the only GG in the Top10 (No4) “Sales of All Times” among the Boy Groups that dominate the market hence the nickname “King of Girl Groups” (which is also a nickname for JYPE from Korean Media) and “Nations Girl Group” (succeeding 2nd Gen Icons “Girls Generation”) . Lastly TWICE has one of the most balanced fandoms regarding genre and a higher age avg compared to most Girl Groups debunking the “myth” that TWICE has music for kids. (Mostly coming from fandoms with an age avg of 12 because their favourite groups make them feel “bad ass” and “grown up” through their questionable in quality music/lyrics)
I’d suggest a B-Side from their previous album as an indicator of what they are capable of releasing musically and song meaning wise , called “Last Waltz” . My point is not to “force” people into liking TWICE but to “educate” them properly before they make their final verdict of discovering TWICE or dropping them as a group.

I would say most of their title tracks tend to be on the poppy/catchy/cutesy side, but they have more different b-side tracks like: Hell in Heaven, Queen, Go Hard, Baby Blue Love (these are the ones that popped into my mind right now °^° Hope to be of help)
Also, Stray Kids covered their song Fancy
And also, TWICE did a cover of Jackson 5’s I Want You Back
I’m honestly usually the same with cute concepts and higher voices, but Twice is the exception for me. I’m not sure if it’s got to do with how much I’ve come to love the girls themselves or if it’s just because they’re unique in their sense of humor about the way girl groups are “supposed” to act, but they’ve been my favorite girl group from the beginning, and watching them support SKZ during their early days (Twice was formed in a reality show similar to Finding SKZ) has only made me love them more.
Their debut song “Like Ooh-Aah” has a really hilarious concept that is basically just “your typical girl group video but with zombies” and the song is also a bop, but my very favorite of their stuff is “Feel Special” which is a song that’s really dedicated to each other and to women supporting other women, and the message is a powerful one when you think about how much women in the entertainment industry are pushed to compete with each other instead of befriending other women. I don’t think these are too high pitched, but as I said, I have a serious Twice bias and I might just be overlooking parts that would normally bother me because… that’s how being biased works XD
Something about twice that i like is that they are, to me, the group with the best shape. Sometimes they upload videos in the gym or you can see photos in their concerts where they haves very marked muscles in arms, shoulder, back and abs without being thin. But in the case of jeongyeon (the one you said is fit) she went through a very hard injure so had to be in hiatus for almost year and a half with very strong meds so she gain a lot of weight but now I think she is ok and started to lose some/much, But is not something she wanted to but she had to. I thinks she is one of the reasons why the other girls don’t want to be extra thin but want to be in heathy shape and weight

I don’t agree with some of the statements you made, although of course I can respect them, each one to their own views.
Firstly, none of the Twice members are extremely thin, and Jeongyeon (the one you mentioned as being ‘fit’) has actually gained some weight because of health issues she is facing right now (we fans of course incondionately support her regardless of her weight). All of the other members are very fit and healthy too, there are a lot of pictures taken of them on the United States during Twice World Tour where you can see that their bodies are very proportionate and actually even have some muscle mass in it.
Secondly, everyone have their own tastes, but people have thought low of Twice because they see it as a ‘cutesy group’. The girls have done cute stuff in the past, but right now you can’t define Twice as cute or childish. Twice gives off an expression of feminility that nowadays is portrayed as weak: they show themselves as sensible, emotional and lovely which separates them from a lot of female artists that try to present themselves as badass, aggressive or overly sexualized just to appease the public that want this kind of fake “empowerment”. Why do women need to act like a toxic male to be seen as empowered?
Twice members are powerful, capable and strong women. They are also feminine, kind and sensible. There’s nothing wrong with that.

7:11 People comes in different shapes and sizes, and all of them are normal as long as they are not being too extreme, so people who are thin are still normal. Most of the kpop idols have average BMI, only low percentage are in the underweight category.

Considering your music taste, I don’t really think twice is for you, considering the fact that their main concept is being cute. They do have more mature concepts tho, but I can’t promise you anything when it comes to the high pitch voices (by this I mean their title tracks, so I dont really know wut to tell you)… Of course you can still try them out tho, i might be wrong so. (Btw I do enjoy twice songs, so I amn’t giving hate, I’m just saying wut I think considering your music taste)
