THIS ALBUM IS TOTALLY A BOP. LITERALLY NO SKIP.
So here are some things that you might have missed on the first watch:
1. Tutting is spelling L-O-V-E.
2. The QR code leads to the post when the fandom name ONCE was announced.
3. The storyline of the MV is them trying to find mysterious codes, like in an escape room. There is their debut date on the flying disc, the date of their first concert in the disc that gets stuck in Sana’s bag, their first music show win when Jihyo gets electrocuted, the date of their first fan meet on the HUD during Dahyun’s lines, Jeongyeon types out the date when ONCE’s fandom name was revealed.
4. The concept of the MV is Y2K. You can see it based on the outfits and there is a prevolent “spy movie” theme with girls having various gadgets and trying to find secret codes.
5. There are references to their previous songs in the lyrics, like YES or YES, MORE & MORE, 1 TO 10, Push & Pull and L.O.V.E
6. The cat from SCIENTIST returns and is featured on the screen that Nayeon breaks.
9:57 is relatable AF. Im literally crying over an MV that sounds upbeat like wth HAHAHAHA. But the QR is about the day they called us ONCEEEEE thats why my crying = HEAVY! Nobody will replace Twice

12:33 I agree with you about Sana catching your attention in in TTT’s. I’m also pretty sure that it’s part of JYP’s Twice masterplan. Every pop star in history has been chosen for the combination of dance and singing/rapping ability plus their looks but in the first mission of Sixteen JYP tells them to show him why they are a star. One girl writes, composes and sings an original song and gets scolded for its lack of feeling. Sana just put some vegetables and crab meat on to some rice paper and wraps them up. It’s an amazing piece of TV and JYP must have seen Dollar signs. Sana (and Dahyun as well) are able to add an extra dimension to their appeal by how naturally engaging they are on variety shows, online content etc. It has been a big part of their success but something most music companies would not have considered as a core skill. JYP is smarter than he looks 😆

Line distribution is amazing as well, Tzuyu’s voice is getting more and more beautiful as well.

And Dahyun has been my bias ever since but Mina has been getting to me.
