Literally crying just when their contract renewal news was announced and saying this line firstly and what’s more special is that all 9 members participated in writing the lyrics. 🥹🥹
Celebrate can have double meaning their celebration in their “Japan 5th Anniversary” and “renewal of contract” as a sign of a new chapter with their fans
there’s a lot more easter eggs in the mv if didn’t notice like the symbolism of their previous Japanese songs and also the multiple mention to their fans “ONCE” on the MV
Anyways the whole album is dropping on july 27 im excited since this is the first japan album where members participated in it also TWICE will have korean comeback with their 11th mini album “BETWEEN 1&2” on august 26
twice just renewed their contracts all together months prior to their anniversary only a few days before celebrate was released which in my opinion makes it special in its own way especially knowing that all members wrote for the song and it being the first time they write a title while the song is about celebrating being together after all this time. it’s rare for girl groups to renew their contracts all together especially months in advance so it really shows just how much twice love what they do and love being a group knowing they’ll remain active with their group activities. it makes this release special in a way but i really do appreciate your honest opinion and i understand your point honestly it’s a sound that you can easily get tired of knowing how overused it is in kpop. thank you for the video!

the song is just fine not bad in my opinion, but the context around it that theyre celebrating their 7th (5th in japan) anniversary, they just had a contact renewal, and all the members hard a part in writing the title track is just 😭😭😭

I get you, I feel the same way about that retro sound in kpop but Twice are my ults so I enjoy it anyways . The previews of the album sound so good though and they aren’t retro so we won hahaha. Twice’s Japanese releases are the best ones YEEEEES, their debut was with a bop like One more time, we couldn’t expect less. Their Mvs are the best ones too, BDZ is my personal favorite and. All the references (bdz, lovelys, happy happy, doughnut) in the mv were so cute too.

To me this was very much a lyrics first kind of song, just a cute and fun track backing what is essentially a heart felt letter to onces and each other about their/our bond until now and going forward.
