After releasing this video it was brought up to my attention that this song had a darker meaning with the girls having actual, legit stalkers (A public situation with Nayeon was brought up, scary shit!). So while I’m still liking my interpretation of this song, you can easily replace the word “lover/parter” with “stalker”, it especially makes even more sense in the parts where the song gets muffled, to represent that it’s not only the former lover who doesn’t want to hear about getting rejected but rather a legit stalker, who ignores the girls’ wishes and is oblivious.
Their outfits in this mv are definitely my favorite, “fake and true” is a close second. But seeing 9 women in red and black, some of them wearing “suits” is such a beautiful image
4:42 A similar incident to the one here actually happened. When a photographer who was trying to shoot Tzuyu saw her in front of him, he put down his camera and just watched her. It was a sweet moment 😂 Everyone was sharing that moment as a real-life kdrama moment 😅
Thanks for checking them, I’m glad you liked it, I think I mentioned in one of your previous twice reactions that their latest Japanese mvs have a dark undertone and honestly I love that… Their discography both Korean and Japanese are top tier I hope you can check it even in your own time, they are really versatile and for new fans sometimes it’s hard to see it bc they base their opinion out of their title tracks and even though their titles are great! Their bsides are amazing

LOVE THIS!!! Always love your interpretations. Even when you don’t know some external contexts, you always put it into such a cool perspective. Perfect World is easily one of my fav Twice songs too. In general, I find that their Japanese tracks have a darker (sometimes mainly through the lyrics and small motifs in the vid, such as Fake & True) tone, which is why a really like them
Thanks for another Twice reaction! Just as a reninder, Twice japanese releases has more chance to get a copyright claim so you can add a watermark or video transparecy to avoid it, with korean releases there are no such problem.

I’ve been waiting for this!! it really has a deep meaning and the song is just *mwah* chef’s kiss. It’s a common theme in their jp releases. Fake and True and Breakthrough are good jp releases from them with a deep meaning too. some of their title tracks has some meaning as well. First song that comes to mind is likey. I’m not gonna spoil anything for it. but it’s kind of dark if i’m being honest. yeah that’s basically it, love the reactions man and also take a break mah guy. Don’t overwork yourself too much. Don’t pull a ‘twice’. You’re not a JYPE artist(this is a joke btw but we all know they overwork their idols a lot)
