The plaintiff says he and the defendant were married — twice. They both began abusing painkillers, and he suspects his ex’s problem was worse than his. He’s suing her for unpaid taxes. The defendant says she loves her ex even though she says he abused her, beat her, and threatened her with a gun during their first marriage. She’s countersuing for emotional distress.
He was definitely abusive. Their number one tactic is to try and paint the victim as insane.
