Dont go running in to the water, stamina recovers only on solid surfece and drains constantly while in water
Since youve been on the mountain before you prabobly know where clay can be found – if you do the mapping there youl get info on uderwater resources due to bigger range than cartografer tree
Making a separate comment for this: where did the meat you harvested go? Also, you walked all over the place with low food and water and didn’t harvest any of the fruit plants? In my opinion you either have food in your food pantry (upgraded storage), or harvesting any food source available is the number one priority. Particularly fruits when you are thirsty, which always give you some water.
From your cave go right, go past the wreckage and on down the beach, you’ll come to some hills that are impassable from this side. If you go in the water and swim around to the left you’ll come to another beach with a shit ton of resources. Not sure if you can take your cart though.
25:34. When starting a fire you need to have tinder in your inventory. You will notice there is a “select tinder” section under the “select fire starter” on the bottom right. You had “no suitable items” so the chances of lighting a fire are low. Tree bark can be used as tinder as well as some other resources. Sometimes it will still take a couple of times to work, but with a much better chance of lighting.

I have a hard time watching this game. I am worried that every time you are crafting or in your inventory there will be a scorpion crawling on you. I don’t like things crawling on me! 😮
This is interesting, and if the lack of poison already kill you so much, be glad it wasn’t introduced yet.
Swimming just off the shoreline helps with swimming stamina. There are loads and loads of fish in the ocean. I’ve messed around a bit in the ocean and it’s so neat
I don’t know if that was the case or not but do not rely on coconuts and water for hydration. Put the first survival point you get in the water perk. That adds +5 water to everything. It makes the plentiful clam on the beach a decent source of water. Then there’s various fruit trees and bushes. Oranges, bananas, bread fruit… There’s only a few of each and they are spread all over. Check the map to see if there’s anything around you, grab one to see if it’s worth the time, or as much as you need if you are thirsty. And, yes, the map without compass is a pain but you have to work through it. You can place smoke signals to make markers on the map plus the visible smoke in the sky, and you can choose multiple smoke colors. The hard part is finding enough yellow leaves. Don’t bother with the feathers – you need just a few ever and there’s always birds. And pick the tinder mushrooms! That’s 20% less time per attempt to light a fire! Time is water!
I was expecting a rabid kitten or hamster at the chest…i think when you run out of stamina in the water you start “drowning” even if you are on the surface…oh never mind you figured it out
The demo doesn’t end when you leave the island. There are other islands and the ocean to explore. Please keep playing. 😉
There are 3 cartographer trees. and doing map making from ground level only shows a small area. I too went days with no rain after building it. But the drought finally broke. Be aware that the further afield you go, the more birds there are. I’m to the point of loathing birds.
You were drowning because your stamina was low I did the same thing 😂
When you come out of your camp turn and walk the beach line, plenty of trees and food. Also going to small island won’t end demo. You have plenty of work to do. Lol
going to find the small island doesnt end demo just make sure your stocked up with water and food , you can stop and land the raft it has a durability as well
Ive been enjoying Kages lets play on this one but i have to say if hes struggling a little with this game i dont fancy my chances lol, ive installed the demo and when i get time have a go with it but im going though some serious life issues at the moment and i can see my anxiety increasing with this game so maybe it wouldnt be a good idea to play it in its current form?
