I appreciate how Chan of Stray Kids explained in details also with example on the technical side of recordings/singing live etc. I am very impressed on how knowledgeable and open Chan is on topics like this. It’s pretty common nowadays (weird but yah saw some) fans ask their idols/hosts asking idols if they lip-sync some would just say YES/NO. However with Chan, he wouldn’t settle things without an explanation and I admire him for that. He respectfully corrected some of it and educated Stays/fans about it in a very easy to understand words.

It’s refreshing to see an idol like Chan who doesn’t only gives out entertainment through singing/dancing (or any performances of what idols usually do) but also gives out some knowledge that not all of us know or may hear in an everyday conversation. I love how I, as a STAY, gains new knowledge everyday from the people I admire.

i appreciate stray kids’s transparency when it comes to their music, most artists wouldn’t talk about this stuff openly

not a lot of people can talk about music the way bangchan does. the way he explains how the production works, explaining the difference between lip syncing and auto tuning, all the technical stuff …whew he’s smart

I’m honestly proud of how Mamamoo improved their lip’syncing skills. Not by much, but it’s still improvement.

Bang Chan talks about this video in Chan’s Room VLive ep141 towards the very end! He explained some definitions in depth and said you got most of the situations right. He was really sweet about it ^^

Here after Chan’s room ep.141 and I-

Yeah, if you guys here want to know more about this topic, I recommend heading over to SKZ’s V-live!! Chan explained it at the end of ep.141 very clearly and gave examples. There are people summarising it on socmed as well, it’s rlly helpful. 😀

hey everyone, if you wanna know more on this topic go watch Chan’s recent live near the end. he explained each of the different things clearly and even gave examples of each of them. this video doesn’t mean any harm and there is nothing wrong with using a backing track/prerecorded vocals.

edit: i will say i am side eyeing that lil comment they made at the 10:10 mark tho🤨

Chan just checked your video on vLIVE 😭 only the skz part but he was so nice about it so don’t worry. He corrected some parts and explained it but said you got most of it right. He just gave out a free lesson about this topic so for those who want to know then you can check it for free. Goodluck everyone and remember chan is always watching 😅

Edit: stays, chan’s goal was not to spread hatred but to share knowledge. He debunked only skz autotune and lip synch part. Be nice if you can, thanks!

10:10 the rude caption was so unnecessary 🙄 but chan was still so nice about it argh

Heeseung’s voice really is beautiful and his live sounds the same or even better than studio ver

Honestly, skz sings live very well, not lip-syncing. If you want to know if skz sings live well, you should watch the fancam. Fancam is a place where the defects of the voice can be clearly revealed. Most of the stages posted on youtube are already edited

very clear demonstration but i would prefer “post-processing” over the term “autotune” since people often associate autotune with bad singing (which is not the case).

People need to realize that sometimes even the artist doesn’t sing live on stage, it doesn’t mean they are bad and everything, due to lot of circumstances like intense choreography or the shooting with different camera cut, they need to prerecord, and auto tune isn’t even just about correcting it adds effect on the vocals actually. ANYWAY IT’S ALWAYS GOOD TO EDUCATE YOURSELF 👍🏻😉

I love ATEEZ’s approach and will always say that they sound the exact same live and recorded. They spoke about this in their WIRED interview. Also heard them in concert and it was immaculate, Jongho’s mic broke and the audience could still here him belting.

Hwasa doesn’t have autotune in dingo 😭 she was sick that time so her voice sounded kinda different that time. That’s really how her voice sound.
