Actually cactus is written, compose and directed by jihyo, she guide the members how to sing it. All of them in one room together recording it.
The one vocalist you always seem to point out was Nayeon, the oldest and one of the lead vocalist. They mostly hit the higher notes and powerful vocals, together with Jeongyeon and Jihyo. All members are given lines in every song, even the rappers are considered as sub-vocals (Dahyun and Chaeyoung).

CANDY is a fan song for English speaking fans.
They are very active with writing lyrics for their albums, especially their latest mini-album Taste of Love where all b-sides were written by the members.
I suggest reacting to their 2nd Full Album, Eyes Wide Open. Their vocals and the songs in there are also amazing.

This is the best TWICE album so far for me. Most of the songs hit me hard on first listen. Very impressive album👍🤌
You should definitely read all the lyrics in your own time. I feel like you should look out for these, since they were written by the members:
Cruel – Lyrics by Dahyun (Rapper, dancer)
Real You – Lyrics by Jihyo (THE vocalist, most of the highnotes were done by her)
F.I.L.A. – Lyrics by Nayeon (Vocalist {also had many highnotes}, dancer)
Cactus – Jihyo participated both in composing and writing the song
There’s also a Korean version of The Feels. It’s CD only, but if you’re interested it’s been re-uploaded to YouTube and such. Chaeyoung (rapper, vocalist) participated in writing the lyrics

All the times you asked for a name it was all Nayeon LOL, except for the first time on the feels which was Jihyo! Cactus (The pop-rock song) was actually written and composed by Jihyo so in a way yeah, one of the members asked for it haha

The high “HIGH” notes would be Nayeon, the high “Raspy” solid notes would be Jihyo. You could easily tell them apart by the end. 😌 😍 🥰 Jeongyeon does this too, but she’s more like their middle ground. The good thing in having 9 members is they can all do adlibs depending on what the song requires
I listen to this album everyday it’s just stick in my head and yeah some of the songs give off disco vibes that I’m living for❤️❤️❤️

What i love about this album is how it shows different types of sounds, synthpop, 80’s, disco-pop, reggae, R&B, trap, pop-rock…. as a fan if compared it to their old ones i will say that TWICE really is one of the few groups out there who doesn’t lose their identity despite how diverse their discography is. They just somehow always manage to put their own touch to every song they make. They’re growth as an Artist really amaze me how they participate in writing lyrics and also now participating in composing and directing that not a lot of musicians can, also how every members kept surprising us by showing their different vocal abilities that us fans wouldn’t expect coming from that members like how the vocal line here on this Album did rapping and also rapper line who showed and shined their vocals more here
Almost every time you asked “who did that?” It was miss Im Nayeon, the eldest and lead vocalist. You can thank our fearless leader Jihyo for the power ballad “Cactus”, she wrote and composed it as a love letter to her dearly departed cactus, R.I.P. Ang 🥲🌵
You’re the one reactor I’m really rooting for to become a full-fledged ONCE. Even if you’re finding it hard to put faces to names or vocals to members right now…fret not. Soon enough it’ll become a lot easier if you keep up with it. I look forward to seeing you react to their other albums like ‘Eyes Wide Open’ or even ‘Perfect World’.
