Since “Breakthrough” Twice’s Japanese songs have been really consistently really good. Some of my favorite tracks of all time are their japanese songs.
I love Better, Breakthrough, Perfect World, Kura Kura, and Fake and True. Even some of their older Japanese songs are really good, like One More Time and Brand New Girl.
I personally wasn’t a fan of their cuter japanese songs like Candy Pop and Happy Happy (and maybe Fanfare), they almost give me diabetes they’re so sweet. So I’m loving the more mature concepts, and I suggest you look up the lyrics afterwards, both Fake and True and Breakthrough have pretty meaningful lyrics. 🙂
oh fifi you’re in for a TREAT with their japanese b-sides, especially their “perfect world” album is so freaking good (i’ve seen people react to them on youtube but idk whether it’s too safe to do so, you can check out some live performances like “scorpion” too)
p.s. “good at love” is such a good track, you can’t say i didn’t warn you!!
Man since Fake and True, I’m constantly looking forward for more house tracks from them. And yes, the man who helped the girls is JYP.

Fake and true is such a vibe for me, mainly bc of the brassiness(idk if that’s a word but it is today 😂😂) mixed with the house sounds.
Candy Pop, I gotta be in the mood to hear it, like I won’t skip it when it plays while I’m listening to my playlist but I also won’t look for it 😁

I was about to do something else then I read TWICE + FifiZappa on my notifications and I immediately jumped to check you reaction because Fake & True is my ultimate favorite Japanese track (I refer to it as Feel Special’s Japanese cousin because they are sonically similar and were released at the time) I waited in anticipation on your reaction to this 5:39 because those synths are the among their most melancholic/uplifting melodies. The lyrics are very inspirational too! I can imagine walking down Tokyo and just jamming to it while thinking about my dreams😍

bruh you’re not alone. Their Korean title tracks are on the safer side, which is understandable, but in their Japanese title tracks, they get to experiment and try so many things (AND the lyrics are always so good and uplifting). Their Korean discog is packed with really good songs too (same with their Japanese discog 👌); bsides on fire 🔥
Candy pop is one of twice’s most popular title track in japan🍭 beside TT and Feel special and now The Feels also😆❤

Japanese tracks are top tier 🔥
I was really looking forward to you F&T reaction, i KNEW you were gonna lose it.
Also! Don’t worry about the controversial part, most of us always expect the japanese comebacks as much as the korean ones because they are Bops, including the b-sides. I strongly recomend “Strawberry Moon” if you wanna check out any japanese b-side. Also the &Twice album (with F&T as the title track) has many many good b-sides (Stronger is my favorite but i think you’ll really enjoy “Polish”) and the first full english song in their discography. If you wanna react to this one i’d say include “Swing” which was only included in the reoackage version and i think you’l enjoy too. Perfect World is also REALLY good, it has spicy songs but also very emotional ones. Can’t wait for you next Twice video! All their content us good and enjoyable anyways hahaha
