I genuinely think Doughnut is one of the best song they’ve ever made, and the dance, is so elegant. I’m so in love.
I think the donut at the beginning represents a never ending cycle/relationship being broken. Cause in a shape of a donut there is no end but it was finally stopped with that part of the donut getting ripped off (Dahyun broke the cycle since she bit into the donut) I love this song sm it’s definitely on the slower side of Twices songs and something different, the vocals are amazing, and the meaning can go in many different directions.
The bite in the doughnut represents the end of the love loop. Someone ended the love. That’s at least how I interpreted it I could be wrong.
I really love their voices, especially in this song. What a wonderful song.

The guy simply represents the man each of the girls “lost”, hence a donut hole left by his absence. Alternatively, putting Mina in the Main character position, the “donut crime scene” is only part of the crime scene if you check it carefully, her guy may have died, putting an end to the “Love Loop”, hence, Mina crying at the end. 👍

In this music video Tzuyu got really beautiful voice. The rest is really pretty.

bc it seems to be a both sad and happy reminiscent song looking back on a relationship
how the girls both missed and hated the love loop they were in, saying theyd never go back but they kinda miss the sweetness
the tray chaeyoung pulled out of the oven represents the sweetness among the bitterness that they remember
in the end, none of that matters because the relationship is already over, and the love loop is broken
which is why mina cries when she sees the donut at the crime scene, bc it evokes a bittersweet feeling of loss but also good riddance

I love this ballad and it’s one of my favorite Twice japanese songs but it’s ok if isn’t your style, I like when people are being honest with their opinions and don’t try to please others
This is my take on the mv I noticed they’re dating the same guy so they poisoned him through a donut, the evidence in the crime seen and it’s dahyun’s doughnut. But nonetheless the mv is super dark (murder) artistic! Twice jp comebacks never disappoints 💗😭
For me I think the mv is about a relationship that ended not by break up but death either the man or twice(leaning towards twice) and all the scene of them is their soul remembering the times they spent together with their lovers.
This also support that the doughnut bite means their love hoop ended but it ends with death symbolizing the blood in the doughnut
genuinely I think it’s the best mv, they all come out beautiful and their voices complement each other very well, AND jeongyeon giving me actress vibes is killing me!!
