Enforcer (on player) and Mutilation + Esoteric (on follower) + good gear + lots of life regen allows your follower to survive without immortality relic so you can use All Skills (Enchantress) or 50% Cooldown (Scoundrel, Templar). Make sure you only do this WITHOUT Unity or else you will die.

Don’t know if there is a misunderstanding with the multishot skill of the scoundrel. But the passiv has a 70% chance of firing 3 bolt of the scoundrels special attacks. That also includes night’s veil and he creates 3x 20 yards areas.

If you’re ever so inclined, it would be also be interesting to see follower build with Blackthorne’s 3pc set bonus, and compare that to this one. Which is better overall?
Interesting that you selected Power Shot for your Scoundrel’s first skill. Most people seem to avoid selecting anything in that row so that the cc from those two skills doesn’t trigger diminishing returns on mobs. What’s your thinking on selecting a skill there?
What? Enforcer gives the 90% DR to follower as well? First I’ve ever heard of this, thanks for the info, this is big.
Next season, Blizzard needs to make it so that when you save your equipped set in your wardrobe, it also saves your followers set. It’s the most annoying thing having to change sets depending on what you’re doing.
You’re on the same wavelength of thinking as me! I cheat a little with my Savage Frenzy Barb though, since the 2pc Savage set bonus gives crazy toughness (a little less than 50% DR, it seems) to my follower. I’m using the Enchantress with both my Frenzy Barb and AoV Crusader though, so I have to make separate considerations on her gear for each separate character. That’s fine, it just makes me want an armory loadout option for followers (it’s on my wishlist of QoL improvements that remain to be seen in D3).
Given my comparatively smaller paragon level (1750 right now — yeah, I’m pretty casual, lol), I’m pushing lower GRs than you Wudi, so the scaling of incoming damage to my follower hasn’t been a problem when playing my Barbarian; however, I do sometimes see my follower hit sub-25% HP when using her at the highest levels I can currently push on my Crusader. All he gives the follower is the IAS buff from Laws of Valor, and while that’s a substantial and noticeable recovery boost, the hits she takes when I play my Crusader are nearly 2x the size compared to when I’m playing my Barb, so I do see her HP drop to sub-25% HP sometimes, especially when things are particularly chaotic. She’s even died every once in a while, but it’s less than once per GR, so I haven’t spent time (yet) on augmenting her gear for toughness for use with my Crusader. However, as I gain more Paragon levels, this problem will worsen. I hate to run Enforcer on my Crusader just for my follower, so yeah, as I said, I’m gonna go the augment route and see if that makes her solid enough.
The problem is that chaotic circumstances where my follower is at risk of dying usually involve fairly large pulls, ones where occasionally I’ll battle some server lag. Obviously, those chaotic large pulls are where I can make some serious progress on a GG map/tileset, and that’s where I need my follower alive the most. So yeah, it looks like it’s time to add a few level 100 or 115 augments to my follower, just for when I play my Crusader in high GRs.
Glad you made this video, b/c I’ve gotten some pushback from friends when I’ve told them how I use the all skills relic instead of the cannot die relic. Now I can just link them this video, and with your clout I think I can change a mind or two 🙂
I’m rolling with the enchantress and cleared 143 without her dying at 955mil toughness. Dex, life per hit, attack speed, vitality are best. I tried rolling flat armor on some of the follower pieces because her all resistance and health pool was already good enough. However, the fact that dex gives her 3x armour wasn’t apparent to me at first. I wrecked some pieces by not rolling off the flat armor. I think with further tweaking and augments you would reach 1.2 mil++ toughness on the high end on enchantress and I imagine she could live through 145 to 148 GR without enforcer.
500M toughness is usually good enough to survive up to 110’s runs, depending on main character buffs. Also Health Globes is really good here as your own share to them, LoH nice as well with AS. W/o Enforcer my Enchantress usually lasts through 115 speeds, then of course immortal with Enforcer but only have 1 build for that.
If you’re really desperate you can always quickly augment some 110 level opposite main stat (Armor / Res) stat, usually +1200ish armor / 120ish AR.

For builds that DON’T use Enforcer, it’s worth to sacrifice a Legendary Gem to get more 100% crit chance from Scoundrel Veil?
What is the best option for DH’s in season 24? Enchantress or Scoundrel and with which relic?
I have never had a follower die. I assume it’s common in certain builds?
i’m curious which follower i have to use for FB wiz pushing. if enchantress, will it be similar? leoric+flavor+aughild+nemesis+rorg+oculus+st.archew? crimson (enchantress dont proc CDR, but RCR will help with toughness, right?), thunderfury? or i have to take scoundrel for gr150 push?
I’d swear I’ve seen St Archew’s proc its shield on a follower…
Will blizzard fix Russ? They may say it’s an unintended effect!
