Actually, I think this was a fantastic episode, loved almost everything about, and thinks its one of the best this Season.
I do agree with how this arc is being done in the anime. On one hand, I think BONES is completely wrecking the arc, which makes me worry about how next Season will be handled, but on the other hand I also now believe they are just following the orders their bosses give them. And I don’t just mean the suits at BONES; I also mean the execs running the network, the head honchos in the show’s “anime committee, and even the show’s contacts connecting the manga publisher with the show’s production. I believe the animators and writers are under “tight” overhead, and are being told to “tone down” the story and characters, and to rearrange and reorganize the plot in order to “(over)protect” and “guide” some of the younger viewing audience.
In any case, while I get execs worrying about content and needing to “censor” things for TV broadcast, but this is “executive meddling” at its peak.
I liked this episode A LOT more than the last. Twice is the MVP.
